Muqi Furniture Expands Indian Market: Successful Signing of Second Batch Dormitory Furniture Reorder

On January 23, 2026, the signing ceremony for the second batch of dormitory single beds and matching storage cabinets procurement contract between Muqi Furniture Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Muqi Furniture") and its long-term Indian client was successfully held at the company's headquarters. The achievement of this reorder cooperation marks the deepening of bilateral cooperation in the export of dormitory furniture and highlights the quality strength of Chinese furniture manufacturing and the continuous recognition of the Indian market.
It is reported that the dormitory furniture package signed this time includes reinforced single beds and multi-functional storage cabinets, which are specially designed for Indian campus dormitory scenarios. The products strictly comply with Indian standards IS 17635:2022 (for storage units) and IS 17636:2022 (for beds), meeting full requirements in material selection, structural safety and environmental performance. Among them, the single beds adopt 1.2mm thickened steel tube frames, passing the 150% rated load static test with the tensile strength of welded joints reaching over 85% of the base material; the matching cabinets meet E1-class standard for formaldehyde emission, with R-angle treatment on cabinet edges to effectively improve usage safety. All products have completed BIS certification registration in India, ensuring smooth customs clearance and full compliance with Indian market regulatory requirements.
During the negotiation, both parties conducted efficient communications on product quality, delivery cycle and logistics solutions. The Indian client representative stated that the first batch of dormitory furniture exceeded expectations in stability and durability, especially the moisture-proof performance under India's hot and humid climate, which was highly praised by the school authorities and became the core reason for this reorder. In response to customer needs, Muqi Furniture optimized the product packaging scheme with solid wood crates and foam buffer structure, and collaborated with professional freight forwarders to open the direct shipping logistics route from "Chinese ports to Mumbai Port, India", shortening the delivery cycle to 60 days, an increase of 30% compared with the industry average. Meanwhile, both parties agreed to adopt the cooperation model of 30% advance payment + letter of credit settlement, which not only ensures transaction security but also reflects the mutual trust foundation for long-term cooperation.
The general manager of Muqi Furniture said at the signing ceremony: "China and India have strong trade complementarity. India's vision of 'building a developed India by 2047' brings broad opportunities for the furniture industry. This reorder cooperation is the customer's reaffirmation of our product quality and service capabilities. We will continue to deepen our presence in the Indian market, optimize product design according to local climate characteristics and usage habits, strictly control the entire chain of production, logistics and after-sales service, and provide more competitive dormitory furniture solutions for Indian customers."
The Indian client representative mentioned in his speech: "Muqi Furniture's products not only meet Indian standards but also can quickly respond to our customized needs. Through the first batch of cooperation, we have seen the professional quality and efficiency advantages of Chinese manufacturers. We look forward to in-depth cooperation in more dormitory furniture categories in the future and jointly exploring the Indian campus furniture market."
The achievement of this cooperation coincides with the critical period of continuous advancement of China-India trade facilitation. With the improvement of China-India direct shipping logistics efficiency and the gradual optimization of trade policies, the advantages of Chinese furniture exports to India have become increasingly prominent. Taking this reorder as an opportunity, Muqi Furniture will further improve its Indian market service system, planning to set up a regional after-sales contact point in Mumbai to provide timely technical support and maintenance services for customers, contributing to the continuous heating up of China-India furniture trade cooperation.
